Airport transfer
Planning an AREX trip from Incheon Airport
Understand the complete airport rail journey, including terminal access, service type, Seoul Station transfers, and the final street exit.
AREX connects Incheon Airport with Seoul Station, but a useful plan includes more than the train ride. Confirm the passenger terminal, follow official Airport Railroad signs, and allow time to reach the station after immigration and baggage collection.
Choose the service for the whole journey
Review the current official AREX service types, stopping patterns, ticket rules, and operating notices. Then plan what happens at Seoul Station. If the hotel is elsewhere, identify the next subway line, accessible exit, bus, or licensed taxi. A short rail time can still lead to a long transfer when luggage must cross the station.
Check accessibility and luggage
Locate elevators before entering a transfer and keep bags within the operator’s current rules. Families and travelers with heavy luggage should compare the full walking route with an airport bus stop near the hotel. Neither mode is automatically easier for every address.
Verify on the travel day
Use the official AREX website for current fares, service, and notices. Check the airport display for station access and do not rely on an old screenshot. This page is a static planning guide; it does not display live train status or promise a departure.
